Modern hotel
+ Good 1- Good location 2- Modern building. 3- Spacious room. Comfortable beds. 4- Eco friendly (e.g. no bags, no little bottles of shampoo, etc.) Ok 1- Nice indoor pool. People place towels in the seats in the morning and leave them there the whole day even though many people dont even come back so we did not get a chance to sit, we just used the pool and left. Could be better 1- Breakfast for 29 euros is ok if you eat fast and have no allergies. I am a slow eater and don't meat. I managed to eat one yogurt with cereal, have half a cup of coffee, and half a pastry, the other half of the pastry was quickly taken away by a waiter. I think they remove dishes fast to avoid people staying long but for me it meant leaving as it is not possible to relax so not worth the money. Food in Malta is cheaper than the UK so if you went somewhere else outside the hotel you can get nicer breakfast and eat more relaxed for that money. 2- Cleaning times. We left the room in the morning and by the time we were back (even after 2PM) they were not cleaned. There is nothing to hang to indicate 'please clean my room' which should speed things up. Every day they cleaned late and then came back one hour or 2 later to see if there was anything else to do which did not make any sense. So if you want to relax in your room in the afternoons for an hour or so, it can be tricky there. 3- Water temp in shower changed every couple of seconds (tried showering at different times every day but it did not solve it). So had to stick to bath instead.

Thank you Marriott Malta for making my first trip to Malta memorable
+ My birthday trip at the Marriott in St. Julian’s was excellent. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff made me feel welcome and safe as a solo female traveller. I especially enjoyed the spa area, which was peaceful and well-maintained. It was the perfect place to relax during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel, especially hotel to the club lounge.

Awesome week, highly recommend!
+ Just wrapped a lovely week at the Marriott, highly recommend and one of the best properties on the island. Situated on Balluta bay, the hotel has easy access to lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Although it’s a 15 min taxi ride to Valletta, this was not a problem as the fares were very cheap. If looking for a more resort style hotel, consider staying outside the old city. Service was impeccable, always lots of friendly faces and smiles. The GM went table to table introducing himself to each customer, was definitely noted. Property was impeccable and maintained, was impressed with the facilities and cleanliness. Spa/pool were awesome. Would highly recommend upgrading to club level. Just the breakfast and free drinks was worth the small price. The only minor item, was the bathroom. Very odd design. Had a heavy sliding door with open wooden slats for a wall. You literally could hear every single noise being made. Will allow your imagination to fill in here. We literally would turn on the shower for privacy. Any event, highly recommend this property!

Super hotel in Malta
+ Super hotel, great location for local buses etc and restaurants but, what really made it was the staff. From the reception to the cleaning staff, all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Gold medal for Marriott
+ We have just returned from a week at this wonderful hotel to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and cannot fault anything about it. The staff throughout the hotel were exemplary. There was a vast array of foods to suit every taste at breakfast and the team of waiting staff greeted every guest with a smile. The reception team were always helpful and even organised a free bottle of fizz to help us celebrate our big day. Attention to detail is obvious in all areas of operation. The hotel is very well located with some excellent restaurants nearby, and the bus stops for the frequent services to St Julian’s, Sliema and Valletta are very close. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Malta. Thank you Marriott!

Simply Stunning
+ If you are looking for a fabulous Spa hotel where all staff members go out of their way to ensure you have a lovely holiday.....where the food is exceptional.....where the amenities are a true 5* experience.....with 2 outdoor pools and a Spa pool.....a place that is spotlessly clean and where the General Manager takes a keen interest to ensure you are enjoying yourself.....look no further....just a couple of suggestions...pay the small supplement and join the M Club privilege Lounge on the 12th floor, I promise you wont regret it... and whatever you do book yourself in for the incredible Saturday night Gala Buffet Dinner....we ran out of superlatives to describe it Al & Jane Wales

A really nice, well managed hotel
+ We greatly enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful few days at this (huge) hotel. With over 300 rooms, I can imagine it gets a bit too busy for some (us) when occupancy is at peak levels, but it is a very well managed property that probably copes fine. We used some of our MB guaranteed upgrade award nights and were very generously double upgraded to a sea view suite. The hotel was fully refurbished in 2020 and still looks as good as new. There are only four lifts, but they are fabulously efficient. A special thanks to the lovely housekeeping team who not only kept everywhere immaculate, but did so with smiles and kindness. A rare treat in this day and age to get offered an evening turn down service, but they provided it here. The manager (Alexander Incorvaja) made himself available to guests by walking around the Club Lounge and the breakfast service to make sure everyone was happy, which I thought was good leadership. We enjoyed the indoor pool which was very peaceful; I expect it can get quite busy later in the season, but there is a huge outdoor pool at street level and a good sized rooftop pool. This is a lovely place to stay and the location is ok, being about £10 Uber into Valetta or five minutes walk round the bay into St Julians. There are dozens of restaurants within easy walking distance. We got the 202 bus direct to Mdina (1 hr, 15 minutes / 2 Euros) from a stop just a metres away from the hotel. All staff deserve great credit - the front desk picked up my phone enquiry immediately and an MB App chat request was picked up straight away too - but I noted down the lovely Rose at the Spa desk and the ever cheerful Bimala who greeted us with great enthusiasm at breakfast every morning which always got our day off on a happy note. A couple of minor criticisms: the Club Lounge could have been a bit more 'loungey' and less cafe vibe but was otherwise a nice retreat. The only disappointment was the rather cheap food provided at breakfast: the bakery items were low quality and dry, the bread was cheap and the juice provided from a machine that discharges more water than juice. (I found the fresh orange juice machine separately, which was much appreciated). No Greek yoghurt and no non-dairy milk. Overall, breakfast could have been better but it wasn't a deal breaker. Be aware that if you book city view room, you will look out onto the back of the block of flats in front of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel in great location
+ Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Lovely room with sea view. Room cleaned daily and evening turndown service. Two lovely pools with plenty of sun beds. Close to very small beach which does get crowded. Good walks along promenade. Loads of good restaurants within walking distance.
