What to expect

1. Start your private tour from the Oasis Hassilabied and drive to the area around Merzouga and the land of the Ait Khebbach tribe (local nomad people) in a spacious and comfortable 4x4 vehicle.

2. Afterwards, take a 4x4 ride over a gravel road to the Lake of Merzouga (also named Lake Tamezguida), which appears seasonally from November to May during the rainy season in Middle Atlas. This is the best spot to see desert birds, and sometimes even flamingos!

3. we continue to the village of Khamlia. Here, you'll enjoy a local group's music and dance, and have the opportunity to try their instruments and learn to play some desert music of your own while drinking some original Berber Mint tea.

4. Now is time to start the adventure in the dunes! We'll cross the desert with our 4x4 car, crossing and riding the big dunes and visiting nomads for an original berber mint tea in their tents, explore an Oasis full of palm trees and drive along the big red dunes of Erg Chebbi.

5. The best spot for admiring the sunset is in top of the high red sand dunes. Enjoy amazing views of the village and Oasis of Merzouga and stroll through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Here, you will also have time to try out sandboarding, if you like to. After sunset, your driver will bring you back to your Riad or Meeting point.
