With only your group on board, sail beneath the city’s 6 bridges, enjoy close-up views of Ribeira and Gaia, and discover the Douro at a slower, more personal pace. Along the way, enjoy a Port wine toast and a selection of Portuguese local flavors while your local hosts share stories about the river and the city, or simply give you space to relax, listen to music and enjoy the view. When you arrive at the marina, head to Ponton C, in front of the only café. A member OF the crew will meet you 5 minutes before scheduled time.

What to expect

Private tour

  1. Begin your private cruise at Douro Marina, beside the traditional fishing village of Afurada. Step aboard Cabernet, our restored 1963 boat, settle in and enjoy a welcome drink as we leave the marina behind.

  2. Pass beneath the Arrábida Bridge as the Douro opens towards Porto. From here, the city begins to reveal itself from the water.

  3. Cruise past Porto's historic Ribeira and enjoy one of the city's most iconic views, with its colorful façades, riverside atmosphere and old streets rising above the Douro.

  4. Pass beneath the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge, with Ribeira on one side and Villa Nova de Gaia on the other.

  5. Continue upstream beneath the Infante Bridge, a modern contrast to Porto's historic skyline.
