Overview
Come and discover one of the most beautiful regions in Romania. You are going to explore the picturesque Bucovina and Neamt areas including the famous painted monasteries, part of the UNESCO Patrimony and discover the rural way of living in the villages where traditions are still passed on from generation to generation. At the end of the tour we will dedicate our time to Iasi, in order to enjoy the charming of the most romantic city in Romania.

What to expect
Day 1
Iasi City Tour
In Iasi, you will take a stroll through the Stephan the Great Boulevard, and discover the bohemian atmosphere of the city. You will admire the Rozoveanu Palace and the oldest national theatre in Romania, the „Vasile Alecsandri” National Theatre, as well as two of Iasi’s most important religious sites: the Three Hierarchs Church and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Next up we will visit the most important landmark of Iasi, the Palace of Culture, and its beautiful Clock Tower. We will also visit the Golia Monastery, and our city tour will end at the Library of the „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University.

Iasi - Voronet Monastery - Moldovita Monastery - Sucevita Monastery - Marginea Pottery - Gura Humorului
Your first stop will be at the crown jewel of the Painted Monasteries, Voronet. Voronet Monastery is famous due to its frescoes painted in a shade of blue whose composition remains a mystery to the modern world.
1hAdmission includedAfter Voronet, you will visit Moldovita Monastery. Here, you will be witness to the art of egg dyeing, a craft which is specific to this region of the country.
1hAdmission includedSucevita is the only Painted Monastery surrounded by fortified walls. The religious edifice is part of the UNESCO heritage and was built in a Moldavian style, with Gothic and Byzantine influences. Its murals are dominated by the color green, obtained through an ancient technique from natural pigments.
1hAdmission includedAt Marginea, you will discover the famous art of black pottery in one of the last black pottery workshops in the country.

Gura Humorului - Neamt Fortress - Popa Museum - Iasi
You will visit the Neamt Fortress, an important military and historical landmark that survived the siege of Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople.
1hAdmission includedBefore heading back to Iasi, we will step inside a private peasant museum. The museum has the name of Nicolae Popa, a local sculptor and a true creator of folklore. Here, you can witness his creation and try on the ritual masks and traditional costumes.
