Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026. These terms are published by Rentorika LLC, operator of travel.rentorika.com.

This policy describes how Rentorika LLC (“we”) handles personal data on travel.rentorika.com. It is written to match what the service actually does. Where a supplier receives your data, we name the supplier.

Who is responsible

Rentorika LLC is the data controller for the processing described here.

We are established outside the European Economic Area. The GDPR applies to us all the same, because we offer this service to people in the EU, and the rights set out below are yours regardless of where the company is registered.

A representative in the European Union under Article 27 GDPR is currently being appointed, and this policy will name them once that is complete. Until then, please address any data protection matter to us directly at privacy@rentorika.com; we answer within one month, exactly as we would through a representative.

What we collect

When you browse

• Search parameters — destination, dates, number of travellers, cabin class.
• Technical data your browser sends: IP address, user agent, language.
• Error reports when something breaks in your browser: the page address and the error message. We do not attach your identity to these.

When you book a hotel

• Name, email address and telephone number.
• The stay itself: property, dates, number of guests and the ages of any children.

When you book a flight

Airlines require identity documents, so a flight booking collects more than a hotel booking does:

• Full name as printed in the travel document, date of birth, gender and nationality.
• Passport or ID card number, issuing country and expiry date.
• Email address and telephone number.

We collect this because the carrier cannot issue a ticket without it. It is passed to the supplier and the airline for that purpose and is not used for anything else.

Payments

We never receive your card details. Payment is taken in a form hosted by our supplier, LiteAPI, which is displayed inside our page. Card numbers are entered into their system and never reach our servers. We are told only whether the payment succeeded, and the amount.

Why we are allowed to process it

• Performance of a contract — everything needed to make, hold, change or cancel your booking, and to send you the voucher.
• Legitimate interests — keeping the site working (error reports), preventing fraud and abuse, and defending legal claims. We do not use this basis for advertising.
• Consent — analytics and any marketing cookies, if and when we introduce them. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — accounting and tax records of completed transactions.

Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the parties below, and only for what is described:

Two kinds of transfer happen here, and they are worth separating. Where a processor sits outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or on an adequacy decision for that country. Separately, Rentorika LLC is itself established in the British Virgin Islands, for which there is no adequacy decision; booking data reaches us there under the same safeguards, and it is used only for the purposes described above.

How long we keep it

• Bookings — for the length of the trip and then for as long as accounting and tax law requires us to keep the record of the transaction.
• Identity document details — only until the ticket has been issued and the trip has taken place; they are not kept for marketing or profiling.
• Error reports — a short operational window, then discarded.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to:

• ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have data erased, where we have no overriding obligation to keep it;
• have processing restricted while a dispute is resolved;
• receive your data in a portable form;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before you withdrew it.

Write to privacy@rentorika.com. We answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. A booking may include a child as a traveller; those details are supplied by the adult making the booking and are used only to issue the reservation.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by purely automated means, and we do not profile you for advertising. Sorting and filtering search results is done on the data you entered for that search.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Booking records are held in an access-controlled database, and a voucher can only be opened with an unguessable token that is sent to the booker. Card data never reaches us. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the relevant authority if a breach affects you.

Changes

We update this policy when the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
