Exquisite From Start to Finish

+ The Hyatt Ziva was exquisite! There was a ton of activities and entertainment for the whole family. I have a lot of food restrictions, and the staff made sure I was taken care of every step of the way, especially the chef at The Blind Butcher. José at La Mareas is amazing! This was by far my favorite vacation, and I will definitely be back. Everyone at the resort is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!!!

Great all inclusive

+ Amazing all inclusive for my family. Plenty of food options that were delicious, plenty of activities for everyone, and great staff!

The Hyatt Ziva is worthy of the top spot

+ Fantastic resort that's deserving of the top spot in Cap Cana (and Punta Cana). Every single employee....from the housekeepers, to the baristas, to the bartenders couldn't have been more pleasant. Everyone seemed to truly enjoy their job. The food, contrary to some reviews, was fantastic. The restaurants (especially El Mercado and Tempest Table) were awesome. The buffet changed a lot of the entrees daily, and had different types of cuisine. They have a steak/meat area, and a seafood area, and each served fantastic cuts. We did the club level, which I'm not sure was worth the extra money. Check in for us was seamless, but I don't think it was too bad if you weren't checking in through the club. We had a separate lounge and bar area, and the bar served all top shelf liquors, but we rarely went there, instead opting for the bars throughout the resort. The only way that the club could be a good pick is during peak seasons, when the pool gets crowded. We had our own pool area, which was mostly empty, and had great drink and food service. The Ziva was definitely more geared toward families and little kids. They had a lot of activities throughout the day, and every night showed a movie with popcorn, cotton candy, etc. We were traveling with a 17 year old, so we couldn't stay on the Zilara side. There isn't really any activities for older teens or adults, so if your kids are older or if it's an adult only trip, definitely go for the Zilara side. Overall, the Ziva is worth 5-stars, and the money you spend. I know people get nervous visiting the Dominican Republic, but Cap Cana is a totally locked down area. We had to pass through 3 checkpoints to get to the hotel, so if safety is a concern for your trip, you don't have to worry about it here.

Fantastic staff & service!

+ We enjoyed our stay so much thanks to the wonderful staff- particularly Riebel and Eugene who were so friendly and fun! The service was phenomenal. The resort was very clean and safe. We spent all of our time at the pool because of the large amount of seaweed that was in the ocean, but otherwise it was perfection! We enjoyed all of the restaurants and the elaborate grill lunches at the pool. All around it was a fantastic vacation! Highly recommend!

Family trip

+ Wonderful experience overall. Staff is so kind. Daria at the kids club really know me how to make parents feel calm and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Service was top notch

+ Best family vacation!! Food was great, property was beautiful and service was excellent. Wilson and Eugene are the best entertainment duo! Rafael helped us ensure our stay was perfect - shoutout to our amazing dinner on the beach with a great service crew. Jose made sure we had our floats and chairs every morning. Santo made sure we had a great breakfast every morning. And last but not least the star of our trip. Daberlisa!!!! She is the best! Our kids keep asking for her. She gave us top notch pool service. 10/10 recommend!

Rooms need overhaul

+ Overall nice property with lots of great food options and activities. Though hotel was at high occupancy it never felt crowded which is a plus. Buffet at Mercado was one of the better all inclusive buffets I have been to. Staff was respectful and helpful. Main gripe is the condition of the room and the cleanliness of it. We arrived early and waited until check in time at 3pm to receive our room. Given that there was no rush to get us in before check in time, I fully expected the room to be spotless. It was not. There were still leftover crumbs from previous occupant on chairs, hair in the bathroom sink, and sticky residue on the countertop. Begs the question how the rest of the room is. I asked to change room and it was done in a timely manner. The front manager walked with me to the new room to inspect. Again, there was hair in the sink but overall it was “better” than the previous room. At this point , I’m tired and so I accepted the room with the promise of a “refresh” in the bathroom since I pointed out the hair. I left to join the rest of my family and it was at least 2 hours later when I got back and the hair was still there. No refresh was done so I did the refresh myself. The room had lots of wear and tear as would be expected of a well populated resort but there is a difference between wear and tear noted and wear and tear not addressed. This was simply not addressed. The resort itself is not a bargain type of all inclusive so for what you’re paying for, Hyatt you can do better.

+ Hyatt ziva cap cana PERFECT! NATASHA BUTLER MAKE SURE You GET NATAHSA AS YOUR BUTLER! She’s awesome! And Rafael and Francisco they are perfect to accommodate you on whatever you need on food wise. And carina server at the pool she’s perfect and very sincere! I love Hyatt ziva cap Cana I’ll definitely be back the service is the best out of whole nation! Better than anywhere else in all Hyatt resort in whole nation! Chinola is so good and waves grill is so good!!!!!! (Chino Que habla espanol)
