Hotel Marina Palace, Affiliated by Meliá, Adults Only & All Inclusive, RENOVATED

+ The hotel has a fantastic location, just a few meters from the Old Town. Our room had a beautiful direct sea view, and the beach is also very close. The rooms are cleaned every day, and everything is clean and pleasant. All the staff were very friendly, kind, and welcoming.

− We paid €2,200 for an all-inclusive stay, but unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The quality was quite low and there was very little variety. It was noticeable that inexpensive ingredients were being used, and overall the food simply wasn’t very tasty. Fish was served only twice during our stay, and I only saw beef once. The afternoon snack was also very repetitive, with pizza being served every day. I have stayed at other four-star hotels where the food was much more varied and enjoyable, so unfortunately this hotel did not meet my expectations in that respect. Another issue was communication. Most of the hotel staff were foreign nationals, mainly Ukrainians, and many of them spoke neither Bulgarian nor English, which sometimes made communication difficult. During breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant staff were also a little too quick to clear the tables and occasionally removed plates that still had food on them and were clearly not ready to be taken away. We were also very surprised to find out upon arrival that the hotel parking was not included for guests and cost an additional €7 per day. The rooftop pool is very small and does not seem particularly well maintained. There was visible dark discoloration around the tile grout, which made the pool rather uninviting. It was also usually very crowded, making it uncomfortable to use. We only used it once and stayed for about 15 minutes. Overall, I liked the hotel itself, especially the room and the excellent location. However, considering the price we paid for an all-inclusive stay, the quality and lack of variety of the food was a major disappointment. Unfortunately, this is the main reason why I would not choose to stay here again.
