− 1. Not a proper king-size bed. The bed consists of two separate bases rather than one solid base. This is disappointing for a five-star hotel, especially since it wasn’t mentioned in the booking information. 2. Cold outdoor swimming pool. The water in the outdoor pool was too cold to enjoy swimming comfortably. 3. Poor water quality for washing hair. The water is so heavily mineralized that it’s almost impossible to wash your hair properly with the shampoo provided. The hotel should either install a water filtration system or offer a more effective shampoo. Unfortunately, even the expensive Acqua di Parma products don’t cleanse hair thoroughly under these conditions. 4. Extremely high prices. Montenegro is a surprisingly expensive country. Be prepared to spend a lot on dining, both at the hotel and at nearby restaurants, as well as on other services. 5. Very limited public transportation. Getting around Montenegro without a car is surprisingly difficult. Public transportation is extremely limited, so you’ll most likely need to rent a car or rely on expensive taxis, which often have to be arranged via WhatsApp or Viber. This feels quite outdated for 2026.
