Bad Experience From the staff of hotel terrel Ampara.
− I booked a triple room on booking.com for 10/10/2026 to 11 th. They confirmed my booking. Last weekend there were no hotels to book as there is a Netball tournament in Ampara. All the hotels are fully filled by school teams. After I took several phone calls to the terrel hotel they said they cancelled my booked room, because one of the schools booked the hotel. They informed me in the evening and after that I couldn't find any hotel to stay on that day and I missed my daughter's netball tournament. This is a bad experience I received from terral staff. And If I didn't get a phone call to them and If I go to ampara I don't have any place to stay that night. If the rooms are booked early please close your booking.com ads.

+ Das Hotelpersonal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders Mr. Terrel (der Besitzer) hat uns immer alles recht gemacht. Wir haben ein kostenloses Frühstück bekommen, obwohl wir 2 Stunden zu spät von unserer Safari ins Hotel zurückgekommen sind. Das Hotel ist sehr schön angelegt, super sauber und zentral gelegen. Absolut zu empfehlen.

+ Struttura accogliente con piante e verde intorno, proprietario molto gentile e tutto lo staff sollecito. Buono anche il cibo, abbiamo cenato e pranzato lì. Il proprietario è stato di supporto anche nell'organizzazione del safari.

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert
+ Auf Anfrage haben uns die Mitarbeitenden andere Zimmer gezeigt. Sie waren freundlich und können wahrscheinlich wenig für den schlechten Zustand der Unterkunft.
− Die Unterkunft ist sehr heruntergekommen und sehr dreckig. Die Matratze besteht aus zwei Schaumstoffmatten, die so abgelegen sind, dass in der Mitte ein Loch entstanden ist. Auf Anfrage haben wir dann auf das Familienzimmer geupgraded (gegen Aufpreis), welches größer und ein wenig komfortabler war. Insgesamt ist es sehr dreckig, von der Bettwäsche bis hin zum Zustand der Badezimmer. Wir wundern uns, wie das Hotel so gut bewertet sein kann. Bei dem hohen Preis und den guten Bewertungen haben wir mit einer guten Unterkunft gerechnet, aber wurden sehr enttäuscht und haben direkt auf eine Nacht verkürzt, da es schon zu spät war, ein anderes Hotel zu finden. Nicht zu empfehlen.
