Cookies and local storage

This page describes what travel.rentorika.com stores on your device. It reflects what the site does today, not a generic template.

What we store today

We do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies on this site. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising network and no cross-site profiling. What we do store is the following, and it is stored in your browser’s local storage rather than in cookies:

• Recent searches — the last airports and destinations you looked at, so the search form can offer them again.
• A booking in progress — a reference to your reservation, kept only so the confirmation page can find it if the payment redirect loses its way. It is cleared once the booking is confirmed.
• A one-time recovery flag — set if the page had to reload itself after a failed script load, so it cannot get stuck in a reload loop.

These are strictly necessary for the service to work as you asked it to, which is why they are set without a consent banner. None of them identifies you to us or to anyone else.

Third parties that see your browser

• Mapbox — loads the map tiles when a page shows a map, and therefore sees your IP address.
• Tripadvisor and supplier image servers — serve photographs of places and hotels.
• Our supplier’s payment form — appears inside the checkout page and sets what it needs to process the payment securely.

Following a link to a partner — Aviasales, Viator, Airalo — takes you to their site, where their own cookies and policies apply.

If we add analytics

We intend to measure how the site is used. When that happens, analytics and any marketing cookies will be set only after you agree, through a consent banner that lets you refuse as easily as accept, and this page will list each cookie, its purpose and its lifetime before it is switched on.

Controlling this

You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser’s settings for this site at any time. Doing so removes your recent searches and any unfinished booking reference; nothing else is affected. Using private browsing prevents anything persisting after you close the window.
